2026 Season
The Rules
Six franchises. Seventeen weeks. One bar tab's worth of bragging rights. Here's exactly how it works.
The Draft
Every member drafts six NFL franchises at the live, in-person draft. No apps, no auto-pick, no mercy.
Duplicates are legal — across the room and inside your own lineup. If you want to double up on the same franchise, go for it: each of your six slots is scored separately, so that team's results count twice for you.
Scoring
- Win = 2 points
- Tie = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
Your score is the sum across all six slots for the entire NFL regular season. Playoffs don't count. Nothing is entered by hand — every point is computed from real game results.
Tiebreaker — Points For
Points For is the total points your six drafted teams have scored in real NFL games, added together across the whole season. It's the tiebreaker if two members finish level on league points.
Points are counted per slot, so if you doubled up on a franchise its scoring counts twice for you. Yes, a garbage-time touchdown in Week 14 can absolutely change who gets paid.
Entry Fee & Payouts
Entry is $160 per member. With 28 entrants that's a $4,480 pot.
- 1st$2,240
- 2nd$1,100
- 3rd$600
- 4th$300
- 5th$160
- Biggest Loser$80
And yes — dead last still cashes. The Biggest Loser takes home a consolation payout, which is either mercy or an insult depending on your mood.
Projections
A projection estimates where you finish if the rest of the season looks like the season so far. For each of your teams we compute a smoothed win rate:
win rate = (wins + 0.5 × ties + 2) ÷ (games played + 4)
The extra padding keeps a 2-0 start from projecting a 17-0 season. Multiply that rate by the games each team has left, add the wins already banked, and double it — that 's your projected final points, shown to one decimal.
% Chance To Win It All
Projections give one tidy answer. The percentage gives the whole range of futures.
We simulate the remainder of the NFL season thousands of times. In each run, every remaining game is decided by a coin flip weighted by the two teams' smoothed win rates, we re-score all 6 slots for every member, and we record who finishes first, who lands in the money, and who ends up in the basement. Your % Chance To Win It All is simply the share of those simulated seasons you finished first in.
A 12.4% is not a prediction that you'll lose — it means you won 12.4% of the seasons we played out. Full first / top-five / last-place breakdowns live on the Projections page.
Data & Updates
Records, scores and schedules come straight from ESPN's public data and refresh automatically every morning (plus whenever the commissioner hits Sync). Teams are matched on stable ESPN team IDs, so nothing breaks when a broadcaster changes a nickname.
Standings, projections and odds all recompute from that data — nobody is typing your score into a spreadsheet anymore.
